Alaric Lewis

A wounded person seeks healing, not a homily. It often is that single, small word, that quiet, fleeting moment that brings comfort and fills us with new strength to keep going. Lewis' book does this par excellence. He writes economically, steering clear of verbosity.

Pietro de Villiers on A Healing Year: Daily Meditations for Living With Loss  (South African version)

Very well written and illustrated. Would be a great help for any adult who must try to explain to a child why a person they love is ill and what is happening to their bodies. It could address many unasked questions a child may have and frightening feelings they may be experiencing. Well worth having in your library.
